The project goal was Maintenance and Enhancements of existing application to handle the criminal history across the state. Bug Fixed application and Internet application.
Main technical skills utilized for project: Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Webflow, Weblogic, Oracle, Quartz, JBoss, JOSSO, Java Mail.
Project summary including outcomes achieved:
- Development being the major contribution, involved in Analysis, Design, Testing and Deployment of major and main modules of Falcon.
- Actively participated in requirements gathering and analysis, contributed to UML designing and detailed design documents. Created UML artifacts for the existing application (reverse engineering) using Rational Software Architect tool.
- Interacted with department employees / clients directly to determine existing business processes and seamlessly integrate them into a common web environment.
- Optimized existing report / search database queries. Enhanced the export options for the reports and search results to different document types like PDF, Excel, CSV and RTF.
- Improved the end user experience by enhancing and rewriting the UI and upgrading the new version of Display Tag to make it more users friendly.
- Enhanced and created different transactions using spring AOP. Scheduling jobs using Quartz Job scheduler.
- Handled deployment and configurations of application to Dev and Test Environments, developed artifacts for Implementation (configurations and deployments to different environments) and Maintenance Documents for transition to Client.
