Overview of statement of work or project goals: Our Business Analyst is Part of the team that design, develop, and maintain FLSHOTS, Florida’s Immunization registry. It allows the users to capture patient’s demographics and immunization information, tracks the immunization status of the children, provides a centralized access to all immunization related information for all authorized providers across the state of Florida, and provides various Forms and Certificates to schools and child care centers as mandated by the State of Florida
Overview of project deliverables:
Member of the team involved in design and development of data exchange functionality between private upload partners and Florida SHOTS using HL7 files and flat files.
Participating member in the Center for Disease Control (CDC) workgroup on developing data transfer message specification standards for interface between CDC’s Vaccine Tracking System (VTrckS) and Florida SHOTS immunization registry.
Develop requirement documents and diagrams and coordinate design, development, testing and implementation activities.
Main technical skills utilized for project:
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies to gather requirements
- Use of rational tools (use cases) to document requirements
- Working knowledge of HL7 specifications and interfaces
- Knowledge of Intersystems CACHE, HTML, JavaScript, MS Visio, MS Project.
Project summary including outcomes achieved:
- Ongoing project to develop, enhance, and maintain registry.
- Integration of Vaccine for Children (VFC) provider maintenance within Florida SHOTS
- Enable VFC provider vaccine ordering from within Florida SHOTS.
